Statement of Business Purpose
W. F. Howes is committed to the publishing of Audio and Large Print books in an unabridged format for the benefit of its customers. The aim of the Company is to create a range of genre and up to date list of titles to give the customer a broad spectrum of choice and enjoyment.
The Quality of production is set at a very high level to ensure that the authors work is published with a high artistic content giving the customer a rewarding experience. In the case of Large Print the emphasis is centred upon print quality to facilitate the reading experience.
In addition to supplying range and quality the Company seeks to support literacy promotion throughout the population using specific products for different age ranges as well as learning support material.
It is the objective of the Company to deliver value to the customer resulting from the range and quality of its offer. A further objective is to exploit the current and future media platforms available to deliver audio books in the most user friendly and accessible formats.
In achieving this an open policy on recruitment exists with the objectives of the Company living within all of the employees on a day to day basis. Attracting quality personnel and development of employees to achieve their optimum are firm goals of the business. The working environment is one of mutual respect and openness between all employees.
Quality Policy
It is the stated objective of the Company to deliver products of Industry leading quality in both terms of materials used and content of publication. The Company is committed to a path of continuous improvement in delivering products to its customers.
We will comply with all current and future legislation as a minimum in delivering quality and provide full traceability throughout the whole range of our business processes.
The measure of success will be the retention of existing customer base and an expansion of both the customer base and the offer we make to them.
